Laurel currently works as a consultant to therapeutic care organisations. She has been a mental health clinician and family therapist for over 35 years and has specialised in child trauma and attachment issues in the Government, Non-Government, Community and Child & Adolescent Mental Health systems. She previously worked as CEO of a non-government organisation, Catalyst Child and Family Services, delivering therapeutic residential care in northern Queensland.
