Kym has been representing QLD on the NTRCA in her capacity as Executive Director Families & Young People Services in Mercy Community from 2017 until recently. Her extensive portfolio of operational service delivery included more than 40 programs spanning the full child and family service system from early intervention through to Foster and Kinship and residential care for young people in the child protection system in QLD.

Kym brings to the role a wealth of experience in the community services sector. Prior to joining Mercy, Kym was an experienced NSW Public Sector Senior Executive spanning both Human Service and Central agencies including Department of Premier & Cabinet, Family and Community services and Juvenile Justice. She has demonstrated expertise in change management and reform implementation.
Kym shows leadership in strategic engagement both inside organisations and through partnership with external stakeholders. She maintains a strong focus on values driven decision-making that places children, young people and families at the centre of every decision.
Kym is a relationship builder, a strategist and a strong collaborator known for her friendly, energetic can-do attitude. Kym currently holds the position of Board Chair of Peakcare in QLD and will continue her work in the sector as a Consultant.
