Kim Brooklyn

Reference Group Member, Parkerville Representative

Kim Brooklyn is the Chief Executive Officer of Parkerville Children and Youth Care.

Kim has over 30 years of leadership experience across child protection, mental health,  trauma-informed care,  and other community services. Amon other things, she holds a Master of Psychology from Curtin University and has furthered her executive education with institutions including AICD, AIM, University of Western Australia and Harvard University.

Since joining Parkerville in 2019, Kim has led transformative change — launching the award-winning out of home care program, Our Way Home, expanding services for children impacted by trauma, introducing Western Australia’s first youth homelessness diversion program Rubys, and also the first mental health services for children 0-12 and their grownups.  She has also been highly involved in influencing national and state social policy and systems advocacy, as well as working within Award structures and FWC processes to address the needs of young children in our of care contexts.

Kim is widely respected across the broader Western Australian sector for her integrity, innovation and deep commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and families.
